11th All African Games in Taekwondo - All Results

With a very full Talangai stadium in Congo Brazzaville , the 11th All African Games kicked off in Taekwondo on Wednesday, 16th Sep. 2015 , showing the world that Africa has an eye on being strongly present in Rio Olympic Games 2016. Taekwondo event was three days, 16-18th Sep.


On the first day, in -49 kg ( F) , Egypt grabbed Gold, , DR Congo Silver, and Nigeria and Guinee Conakry both Bronze. For -53 kg (F) Egypt again hit a Gold, Nigeria Silver, and Tunis and Ghana both grabbed a Bronze medal . Going to -57 kg (F) , Senegal was top with Gold, Egypt Silver, and Cameroon and DR Congo both reached a Bronze medal . Going on to the last weight in female Taekwondo, -67 kg (F) on the first day, Egypt again struck Gold, Mali Silver, Cote d'Ivoire and Nigeria both a Bronze medal.

Changing to male competition -80kg (M) , Cote d'Ivoire received Gold, Tunisia Silver, and both Libya and Senegal reached a Bronze medal. And the last weight class for the males -87 kg , Tunis Gold, Ghana Silver and both Cote d'Ivoire and Egypt got a Bronze medal.


On the second day, in +73 kg (F), Egypt grabbed Gold, Nigeria Silver and both Algeria and Cote d'Ivoire struck Bronze. In -54 kg (M), it was Egypt again with a Gold , Senegal Silver and Tunisia and Mali grabbed Bronze. In the third weight category that day, -58 ( M), Algeria got Gold, Nigeria Silver , Egypt and Cote d'Ivoire both reached Bronze. For -68kg (M),Egypt hit Gold, Senegal Silver and RD Congo and Tunisia got Bronze. For the last weight +87 kg (M) , it was Niger who struck Gold, Gabon Silver , Egypt and Cote d'Ivoire both got Bronze.


For the third and final day , we had five weight categories. For -46 kg (F) , Ethiopia hit Gold , Tunisia Silver, and Cote d'Ivoire and Egypt Bronze. For -62 kg (F) it was Cote d'Ivoire Gold , Egypt Silver and RD Congo and Gabon Bronze. For the third weight -73 kg (F) Nigeria hit Gold, Egypt Silver , and Cote d'Ivoire and Mali Bronze. For -74 kg (M) it was Mali who hit Gold, Egypt Silver , and RD Congo and Cote d'Ivoire who got both Bronze. For the last weight -63 kg (M) , Egypt struck Gold, Nigeria Silver and Tunisia and Mali both got Bronze.
