WTF 1st President Cup Africa Region in Agadir, Morocco

WTF 1st president cup - Africa region in Agadir, Morocco to end successfully with Morocco reaching top of the pyramid for male and Iran for female medals.
A multilateral event to host also IRS & IRRC for Poomsae and Kyorugi.
The first president cup Africa region was held in Agadir, Morocco on 7-9 April, 2017, which was attended by about 300 players and more than 30 countries. this first time event which included both Poomsae and Kyorugi competitions, out shined by including also WTF IRS & IRRC for Poomsae and Kyorugi consecutively.
Gen. Ahmed Fouly WTF vice president and AFTU president, inaugurated the event which is under AFTU umbrella. the outstanding organization was headed by Mr. Driss El Hilali, president Morocco taekwondo federation and WTF executive council member and included a huge team of volunteers.
On the occasion of this Championship, the Arab Taekwondo Federation held an elective General Assembly, attended by its African and Asian members to form a new Board.
During the meeting, Gen. Fouly handed over the leadership of ARTF to Mr. Driss el Hilali, who will preside over ARTF Board for the next 4 years. Gen. Fouly will remain honorary President, promising to aid and assist whenever needed.
Following the meeting, Ms. Azza Fouly, GMS Manager for Africa Region, held a presentation on the proper way of using WTF GMS, explaining the many facilitations GMS had to offer for license applicants and the advantages of GMS for WTF.
On the social side, Mr. Driss el Hilali, organized an orientation trip for VIP visitors to Tiznit, a city about 80 km South of Agadir, celebrating the International Day for Sports and Peace. The orientation targeted a Sports Academy for Moroccan Youth, which prides itself on offering a magnitude of different sports facilities, thereby enhancing the development of obvious calibers.
On site, Ms. Nawal el Mutawakel, Moroccan Olympic Medalist, and IOC Vice President, welcomed the Group and accompanied them during the orientation.
